Rebecca Robbins

Enjoy a summer evening garden party and musical entertainment by Broadway singer and actress Rebecca Robbins accompanied by Dr. Chris Shepard. All of this plus an exclusive dinner and cash bar await you at the Great Waters Music Festival annual fundraiser at the Barn at the Inn on Main in Wolfeboro at 6:30 on July 26th. In addition, it will be our great privilege to honor Directors Emeritae Barbara Olcott and Barbara Lobdell with a special recognition! Come dressed for a casual evening out in Wolfeboro, and join friends, neighbors and family in this exceptional annual event.

Many of you who enjoyed Broadway singer and actress Rebecca Robbins last year as she shared an intimate evening of songs and stories about her adventures while on tour with The Phantom of the Opera 25th Anniversary North American Tour will not want to miss this year’s appearance. Since last year’s fundraiser, Rebecca appeared as Grace Farrell in 75 performances of Annie at the Walnut Street Theater in Philadelphia and followed that by starring as Florence Foster Jenkins in Souvenir, A Fantasia on the Life of Florence Foster Jenkins. This spring she played the role of Corine in the musical farce “Triumph of Love”. When not on stage, Rebecca enjoys splitting her time between her home in Philadelphia and right here in the Lakes Region.

Rebecca will be joined by her friend and collaborator Dr. Christopher Shepard who will accompany her on keyboard. Shepard is best known for his work as a choral director. He has directed choruses over the years at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, the Royal Festival Hall in London and the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City.  A committed educator he has been a faculty member at The Taft School, the Sydney Grammar School and Holy Cross College. In addition, he is an outstanding performer on the piano and the keyboard.

Great Waters Music Festival is a non-profit organization dedicated to culturally enriching the New Hampshire Lakes Region. The festival encompasses a diversified program designed to appeal to a variety of musical tastes. Its purpose is to promote live musical performances including folk, pop, jazz, Broadway, dance and renowned vocal and instrumental artists.
